CHANCAY
Mummy Bundle mask
1000-1400 A.D.
This is a superb example of Precolumbian art , a authentic ancient Wooden mask from the Chancay culture of central Peru.
The mask is in remarkable condition and is ALL ORIGINAL , there has been no repainting or restoration.
The mask measures 11 X 9 1/2 inches ( 16 1/4 inches tall on professional custom display stand.
Exhibited in the 2006 New York city Tribal arts show and was vetted by a panel of Pre Columbian art experts to be authentic and original.

a Rare ancient Gray-ware ceramic vessel in traditional form with Human Effigy face.
There are several avian designs crudely etched into the surface, there are 3 separate sections that have etched designs , which is very exciting to us collectors. :)
The Top spout has heavy restoration ,approx 40 -60% of the upper spout is filler , and it has been repainted , The body of the vessel is all original , with a fair amount of erosion to the surface.
Measures 12 1/2 inches tall X 7 3/4 inches across.
