  DAYAK
a Classic HUDOQ Mask

This is a Classic Old HUDOQ ceremonial mask from the Kayan Dyak clans of Borneo / Kalimantan / Indonesia.

This is the very best example of the type that I have ever offered , with a fierce stylized mask face in bold black , red and white colors , and full dance regalia still attached.

The mask is estimated to be a early to mid century example , most likely it is over 50 years of age. The Brass eyes are stunning , there is also some tribal repair by sewing rattan on a split to one ear.

The mask and basket measure 22 inches tall x 17 inches wide , not counting the Avian regalia above the basket.

Provenance : Thomas Murray , CA.

 asking $3000.00

FLORES
a Rare old Ancestor idol

This is an unusual old ritual object from the island of FLORES , Indonesia.

The Tribal art of this Indonesian island is much sought after by collectors for its archaic and "art Brut" presence , and this is a great example of that style.

The Pole is well weathered and burned on the bottom , it may have served as part of a Shrine , a marker post for a sacred area , the original purpose of this object is unknown , but it is clearly an old and field used ritual object.

The post measures 29 1/2 inches tall X 6 inches wide and has been professionally mounted to a display stand / base, so it is ready for your Home or Office collection of authentic Tribal art.

Provenance : Thomas Murray , CA
